Bhanu Prakash Srivastava set to be next Director (Other Units) of BEL

New Delhi: Bhanu Prakash Srivastava is set to be the next Director (Other Units) of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Friday. He is currently serving as General Manager in the same organisation.

Srivastava has been recommended for the post of Director (Other Units) of BEL, from a list of seven candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel. There were a total of six candidates, including Srivastava, who were on the list were from BEL. And one candidate was from Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL).

As Director (Other Units) of BEL, Srivastava will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be in charge of eight production units of BEL located at Ghaziabad, Panchkula, Kotdwara, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad and Machilipatnam and will have the overall responsibility and accountability for the growth and profitability of these production units.
