Cmde Sujay Kapoor set to be next Director (Production) of BDL

The PESB Panel has recommended the name of Cmde Sujay Kapoor for the post of Director (Production) of Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) on Wednesday

New Delhi: Commodore Sujay Kapoor set to be next Director (Production) of Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a PSU under the Ministry of Defence. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday. Presently, he is serving as Commodore in the Indian Navy.

Cmde Kapoor has been recommended for the post of Director (Production) of BDL from a list of eight candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel, held on August 20. Out of eight candidates, two candidates each from Indian Navy and Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) and one candidate each from Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Defence Research and Development (DRDO) and Air Force.

As Director (Production) of BDL, Cmde Kapoor will be member of Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). As a member of the top management group, he will advises on all matters pertaining to production, productivity enhancement, technology upgradation, diversification into new technologies, business, corporate commercial/services and cyber security etc. He will have to advise on all matters to ensure product quality and timely execution of contracts.
