Defence Secretary inaugurates BEL's Abhigyaan

New Delhi: The Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane (IAS) inaugurated Abhigyaan, the state-of-the-art auditorium at the Central Research Laboratory (CRL) of Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) at Ghaziabad on Wednesday.

Other dignitaries at the inaugural included BEL's CMD Bhanu Prakash Srivastava, BEL's Director (R&D) Manoj Jain, BEL's Executive Director (Ghaziabad Unit) Sankarasubramanian R and BEL's Chief Scientist (CRL-Ghaziabad) Anoop Kumar Rai.

Abhigyaan will be used for product demos, symposiums, hackathons, tech talks and lectures. It can seat 250 people.

The auditorium boasts excellent acoustics, smart interfaces, a large interactive data wall (6 metre by 3.3 metre) and 3 PTZ cameras for live feed. There are also 2 high resolution displays for simultaneous presentation and demonstration.

Abhigyaan will be an asset to the scientific community.
