DRDO successfully flight tests new generation Agni P Ballistic Missile

After successful test fires of Enhanced Pinaka Rocket and Enhanced Range 122 mm Caliber Rocket, DRDO has in a row successfully flight-tested New Generation Agni P Ballistic Missile on Monday

New Delhi: Just two days after when Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) had successfully test-fired Enhanced Pinaka Rocket and Enhanced Range 122 mm Caliber Rocket, it has flight-tested a New Generation Nuclear-Capable Ballistic Missile 'Agni P' from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam island off the coast of Odisha, Balasore on Monday.

Various telemetry and radar stations positioned along the eastern coast tracked and monitored the missile. The missile followed textbook trajectory, meeting all mission objectives with a high level of accuracy.

Agni P is a new generation advanced variant of the Agni class of missiles. It is a canisterised missile with a range capability between 1,000 and 2,000 km.

Last week on June 24 and June 25 DRDO had successfully test-fired an extended-range version of the indigenously developed Pinaka rocket from a Multi-Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL) at Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur off the coast of Odisha.
