DV Srinivas Rao assumes charge as Director (Technical) of BDL

Srinivas Rao has assumed charge as Director (Technical) of Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) with effect from September 20

New Delhi: Srinivas Rao has assumed charge as Director (Technical) of Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) with effect from September 20. Prior to this, he was serving as General Manager (Design & Engineering) in the organisation.

Rao has extensive experience of over three decades of in the defence sector. He has held key leadership roles at BDL. In his previous role, he led the in-house Research and Development (R&D) Division of BDL. During his career, Rao has played a pivotal role in spearheading numerous defence projects, many of which are now deployed and extensively used by the Indian Armed Forces.

He has closely collaborated with several Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) labs, contributing to the successful execution of numerous projects for BDL. He was also instrumental in establishing the state-of-the-art Electronics Division at BDL, which now produces critical sub-systems for various weapon systems used by India's defence forces.

He is a B Tech in Electronics & Instrumentation from Kakatiya University and an M Tech in Digital Systems and Computer Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. Subsequently, he has pursued his MBA in Human Resources from Osmania University and is a certified Project Management Professional.

Under his leadership, BDL has earned numerous awards and accolades for its innovative contributions to the nation's defence capabilities.
