GRSE Q1 FY'26 net profit jumps 38% YoY to Rs 120 crore

GRSE has reported a robust 38 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth in profit after tax (PAT) for the first quarter of FY 2025-26

New Delhi: Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE) has reported a robust 38 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth in profit after tax (PAT) for the first quarter of FY 2025-26, reaching Rs 120 crore, compared to Rs 87 crore in the corresponding period last year. The state-owned defence shipbuilder also recorded strong gains across key financial metrics.

Revenue from operations for Q1 FY26 stood at Rs 1,310 crore, up 30 percent from Rs 1,010 crore in Q1 FY25. Total income rose to Rs 1,382 crore from Rs 1,084 crore, registering a growth of 28 percent YoY. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) surged 42 percent to Rs 184 crore, while profit before tax (PBT) climbed 45 percent to Rs 167 crore. Earnings per share (EPS) increased to Rs 10.49 from Rs 7.61 a year ago.

Commenting on the performance, GRSE's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd) said, “We have started FY'26 on the right note with strong Q1 results. Considering the production maturity levels of the ongoing projects, we are confident of maintaining the growth momentum.”

GRSE, a Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has built over 800 platforms, including 112 warships for the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, and friendly foreign nations. The company continues to focus on delivering complex warships, modernising infrastructure, and enhancing in-house design capabilities to sustain its growth trajectory.
