In an official statement, HAL clarified that no consultancy firm has been selected yet for the R&D benchmarking study. The company confirmed that a Request for Quotation (RFQ) was issued to engage a consultancy firm for conducting a benchmarking study of its R&D framework in comparison with global Aerospace and Defence companies.

HAL emphasized that the benchmarking initiative is part of its broader efforts towards continuous improvement and modernization, and follows recommendations made by a high-power committee on Public Undertakings.

The company further stated that the selection of a consultancy firm is being carried out through a transparent and competitive process via the Government of India’s GeM (Government e-Marketplace) Portal, in adherence to all applicable procurement guidelines. The selection process is still underway.

“No official award of work has been made so far, and any information suggesting otherwise is premature and incorrect,” HAL reiterated, reaffirming its commitment to transparency and fairness in all procurement-related matters.

The clarification comes in response to misinformation on social media, and HAL has urged stakeholders to rely on official communication for updates regarding its projects and procurement activities.
