HAL pays second interim dividend of Rs 376.93 crore for FY 2020-21

New Delhi: Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has paid the second interim dividend of Rs 376.93 crore for the financial year 2020-21 (FY 2020-21) to the government. The dividend cheque has been handed over to Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh by HAL's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) R Madhavan and Director (Finance) CB Ananthakrishnan in the presence of Secretary (Defence Production) Raj Kumar in New Delhi on Wednesday.

The company had declared the second interim dividend of Rs 15/- per equity share of Rs 10/- each amounting to Rs 501.58 crore on February 26, in addition to the first interim dividend of Rs 15/- per equity share of Rs 10/- each amounting to Rs 501.58 crore already declared on December 9, 2020. This totals to Rs 1,003.16 crore, which includes the government share of Rs 753.88 crore.

Madhavan said that HAL has been consistently paying higher dividends over the minimum dividend prescribed by the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) guidelines. Joint Secretary (Aero) Chandraker Bharti and other senior officials of the Ministry of Defence and HAL were present on the occasion.
