Hindustan Shipyard records highest-ever turnover of Rs 667 crore in FY 2021-22

Defence PSU Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) has recorded the highest-ever annual turnover of Rs 667 crore in FY 2021-21

New Delhi: Miniratna Defence PSU Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) has ended up the previous Financial Year (FY 2021-22) with its best-ever performance till the date. HSL's CMD Cmde Hemant Khatri twitted that, during FY 2021-22 the GSL has recorded the highest-ever annual turnover of Rs 667 crore. "HSL has registered 40 percent year-on-year and is expected to improve further with Fleet Solid Support Ship (FSS) construction and EKM submarine repair contract likely to be concluded in 2022", he said in a tweet.

HSL is a Miniratna Defence PSU under the administrative control of the Ministry of Defence. It is the largest and most strategically located shipyard. The yard has built 174 vessels and repaired about 1940 vessels for Defence and Maritime Sector. HSL's design capability embraces a wide spectrum of general and special purpose vessels like the medium size Bulk Carriers of sizes up to 70,000 DWT, as well as product tankers, container vessels, dredgers, passenger ferries, survey vessels etc.
