HSL says, ‘Welcome back, Sindhukirti’

New Delhi: INS Sindhukirti a Russian-made Submarine that had undergone mid-life upgrade at Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) in 2015 on Wednesday returned to HSL for a Normal Refit of 22 months.

While one team completed PNC with the Ministry of Defence on Wednesday, the other team same day docked the Submarine successfully at HSL.

While yet another team was busy presenting shipbuilding project status to Vice Admiral K Deshmukh, CWP&A who was at HSL on Wednesday for the quarterly review of shipbuilding projects.

HSL's CMD expressed confidence that the Yard with their business partners; MSMEs at Vizag will be able to complete Kirti refit on time.
