Jasvinder Singh assumes charge as Director (Strategic Project) of HSL

Indian Navy's retired Commodore Jasvinder Singh has assumed charge as Director (Strategic Project) of Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) with effect from May 1

New Delhi: Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) on Friday announced that Jasvinder Singh has assumed charge as Director (Strategic Project) with effect from May 1. Prior to this, Singh was serving as Director (Strategic Project) at the Indian Navy

A retired Commodore of the Indian Navy, Singh brings over three decades of experience in defence services, having held several key operational and technical roles across ships, submarines, naval establishments, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) setups and tri-service installations.

He holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru University, an M.E. in Marine Engineering from University of Pune, and an M.Phil in Defence and Strategic Studies from University of Mumbai. He has also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.

During his naval career, Singh contributed extensively to marine engineering, fleet maintenance and the construction of strategic vessels, the company said.

In his new role at HSL, he will oversee key strategic initiatives, including critical submarine projects, the statement added.
