Jayadeva EP takes charge as Director (Operations) of HAL

Jayadeva EP has taken over charge as Director (Operations) of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) on Tuesday

New Delhi: Jayadeva EP has taken over charge as Director (Operations) of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), a Navratna Defence PSU, on Tuesday. Prior to this, he was serving as Officer on Special Duty in the same Defence PSU.

Jayadeva was recommended for the post of Director (Operations) of HAL by a PESB panel on February 14. He was selected for the post from a list of seven candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel.

Jayadeva holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bengaluru and did his Masters's from IIT Madras in 'Aircraft Production Engineering'.  He has worked in Overhaul Division, Aircraft Division, LCA Tejas Division and at the Corporate Office of HAL. Jayadeva was instrumental in managing new fighter aircraft manufacturing, overhaul and upgrade from project inception to execution stage.

He joined HAL in 1987 as a management trainee and has about 33 years of experience in the areas of manufacturing, assembly, overhaul, upgrades, customer support, indigenisation and other management functions. At corporate planning, he played a significant role in framing the perspective plans of the Company. He contributed to the establishment of repair and overhaul and upgrade facilities for Kiran, Hawk and Mirage aircraft at Overhaul Division.

Jayadeva has also served as Director on two Joint Venture companies of HAL.
