MG Balasubrahmanya takes charge as Director (HR) of HAL

MG Balasubrahmanya has taken over charge as Director (Human Resources) of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) with effect from May 6

New Delhi: MG Balasubrahmanya has taken over charge as Director (Human Resources) of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) with effect from May 6. Prior to this appointment, he held the position of Executive Director (Human Resources) at HAL Corporate Office.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) had cleared his appointment on May 5.

Balasubrahmanya holds a Master’s degree in Social Work (Personnel Management and Industrial Relations) from the School of Social Work, Mangalore University. He holds a Law degree from Osmania University. He is also a certified Internal Assessor for the Competency Assessment.

Balasubrahmanya began his career in HAL as a Management Trainee (Personnel) in 1989. During his career spanning over 35 years in HAL, he has made significant contributions to the entire spectrum of Human Resources including Industrial Relations, Legal & Disciplinary matters, Training & Skill Development, Corporate Social Responsibility, Facility & Estate Management and Vigilance - at Divisional, Complex and Corporate level.

As Executive Director (HR), Balasubrahmanya prioritized attracting and retaining top talent while fostering a culture of continuous learning, process improvement, automation, employee engagement and productivity enhancement. He also played a key role in developing and aligning HR policies and interventions with HAL's business needs and challenges.
