Q3 FY'24: BEL registers a growth of 49% in net profit; declares dividend

New Delhi: Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has achieved a turnover of Rs 4,120.10 crore, registering a growth of 1.83 percent during 3rd quarter (Q3) of FY 2023-24 over the turnover of Rs 4,046.11 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The profit before tax (PBT) during 3rd Quarter of FY 2023-24 stood at Rs. 1,172.26 crore, with a growth of 46.45 percent over the profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 800.43 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The profit after tax (PAT) during 3rd quarter of FY 2023-24 stood at Rs 893.30 crore, with a growth of 49.19 percent over the profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 598.77 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Up to 3rd quarter of FY 2023-24, BEL achieved a turnover of Rs 11,484.92 crore as against Rs 11,005.89 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year. The profit before tax (PBT) has increased to Rs 2,948.95 crore from Rs 2,203.39 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year. The profit after tax (PAT) has increased to Rs 2,236.48 crore from Rs 1641.31 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The Board of Directors in their meeting held on Monday declared interim dividend of Rs 0.70 paise per equity share (on face value of Rs 1/- each). The said dividend will be payable to the eligible shareholders holding shares as on the record date, i.e. February 10.

The order book position of the company as on January 1, stood at Rs 76,217 crore.
