Raj Kumar Arora (IDAS) is new Member (Finance) of OFB

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Raj Kumar Arora (IDAS) to the post of Member (Finance) of Ordnance Factory Board (OFB), Kolkata. He has been appointed on OFB board for a period of three years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Arora is an Indian Defence Account Service (IDAS) officer of 1990 batch. Currently, he is serving as the financial advisor with the Ministry of Defence.

Ordnance Factory Board (OFB)

Ordnance Factory Board (OFB), consisting of the Indian Ordnance Factories, is an important department under the Ministry of Defence. It functions under the Department of Defence Production of Ministry of Defence. Board is engaged in research, development, production, testing, marketing and logistics of a comprehensive product range in the areas of air, land and sea systems. OFB comprises forty-one ordnance factories, nine training institutes, three regional marketing centres and four regional controllers of safety, which are spread all across the country. Every year, March 18, is celebrated as the Ordnance Factory Day in India.
