New Delhi: Sachin Dighde is set to be next Director (Defence Business) of BEML Limited, a Miniranta PSU under the Ministry of Defence. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) Panel on Thursday. Presently, he is serving as the Chief Rolling Stock Engineer in the Indian Railways.
Dighde has been recommended for the post of Director (Defence Business) of BEML Limited from a list of nine candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB Selection Panel in its 15th selection meeting of 2025 held on March 5. Out of nine candidates, five candidates were from BEML, two from Indian Railways and one each from BHEL and SAIL.
As Director (Defence Business) of BEML, Dighde will be a Member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director. He will have to achieve the targets allocated to the areas of Defence Business Group of the company.
