Prior to this elevation, Hazari served as General Manager at MIL, where he played a pivotal role in steering operational and strategic initiatives within the organisation. His appointment as CMD comes at a crucial time when MIL is expanding its production capacity and diversifying its product portfolio to meet the growing requirements of India’s armed forces and export markets.

Munitions India Limited, carved out of the erstwhile Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) as part of the Government of India’s defence sector reforms, is responsible for the production of ammunition and explosives for defence and civil applications. Under the new leadership of Shri Hazari, MIL is expected to further strengthen its position as a reliable partner in India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem and contribute to the government’s 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' vision in defence production.
