New Delhi: An E-Book, 'BDL – A journey towards Atmanirbharta' has been released by Ministry of Defence Secretary (Defence Production) Raj Kumar on Thursday in New Delhi. The 75 page book, symbolizing 75 years of India's independence, showcases BDL's capabilities and initiatives being taken by the company for building a resurgent Aatmanirbhar Bharat. 

The E-Book launch ceremony was witnessed by BDL's CMD Commodore Siddharth Mishra (Retd) along with Directors, CVO and senior officials of the company from BDL, Hyderabad.

The week-long celebrations of "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" observed by BDL from March 26 to April 1 also concluded on a high note today. During the week, the following events were organized.

'Freedom March" wherein, War Veterans, serving officers from Armed Forces along with senior executives of BDL participated. War Veterans were also felicitated on the occasion.

A motivational talk by G N Rao, an eminent motivational speaker was organized for students of ITI, Old City, Hyderabad to encourage them to improve their employability skills. A Webinar on Indigenization Opportunities was organized for Vendors.

A Webinar for MSME vendors on conceptual understanding of Government Rules, Regulations, benefits to MSMEs was held. An awareness programme for Apprentices on industrial safety and hazardous processes was organized at BDL.

A special Vendor Development Meet for MSME SC/ST Entrepreneurs in collaboration with Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Telangana Chapter was conducted.

Later, on the concluding day, Mishra addressed senior executives of the Company and urged them to remain committed to work towards building an 'Atmanibhar Bharat'.
