AAI celebrates 79th Independence Day, reaffirms commitment to aviation growth

AAI marked the 79th Independence Day with patriotic fervour at the Delhi Air Traffic Services (DATS) Complex

New Delhi: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) marked the 79th Independence Day with patriotic fervour at the Delhi Air Traffic Services (DATS) Complex, aligning the celebrations with the Government of India’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.

AAI Chairman Vipin Kumar hoisted the national flag in the presence of Member (Air Navigation Services) M. Suresh, Member (Operations) Dr. Sharad Kumar, and senior officials. The ceremony featured the National Anthem and a Guard of Honour by CISF and AAI Fire Service personnel, followed by a spirited drum performance by NCC cadets from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Rangpuri.

In his address, Kumar paid tribute to freedom fighters and underlined AAI’s critical role in transforming India’s aviation infrastructure. He reiterated the organisation’s commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and strengthening the nation’s aviation network to meet future demands.

AAI offices nationwide embraced the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative, encouraging employees and citizens to display the tricolour at homes and workplaces. The DATS and NATS complexes were adorned with tricolour-themed decorations, enhancing the festive spirit.

The celebrations were organised under the leadership of D. K. Gautam, Regional Executive Director – Northern Region, with active participation from AAI staff.
