New Delhi: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has been adjudged as the Best Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) in three prestigious categories—‘HR Excellence (Overall)’, ‘Best R&D Initiative’, and ‘Excellence in Learning and Development’—at the Governance Now PSU Awards 2025.

The awards were presented by the Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey, in recognition of BHEL’s outstanding contributions to human resource management, research and development, and employee skill enhancement. Receiving the accolades on behalf of the company were Krishna Kumar Thakur, Director (HR); SM Ramanathan, Executive Director (OSD/E, R&D); and M Sridhar, Executive Director (HR).

These awards highlight BHEL’s commitment to fostering innovation, strengthening human capital, and advancing industry-leading R&D initiatives. The company’s emphasis on learning and development, along with its strategic HR policies, has reinforced its position as a leader in the Indian PSU sector.
