CCL wins FICCI India Sports Award for promoting sports

Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) won the 'FICCI India Sports Award' under the category of 'Best Company Promoting Sports' (Public Sector)

New Delhi: Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Coal has been awarded 'FICCI India Sports Award 2019' under the category of 'Best Company Promoting Sports' (Public Sector). The award was received by CCL's Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) Gopal Singh at an international convention on the business of sports organised by FICCI in New Delhi on December 11.

The 'India Sports Award 2019' was presented to Singh by the Minister of State for Sports of Odisha Tusharkanti Behera at Federation House, New Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion Singh said, "This is a true recognition of the work done by Central Coalfields Limited for the growth and development of sports in the country. I am privileged to receive this award on behalf of my very motivated team."

On the occasion, many eminent personalities, including Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports (I/c) Kiren Rijiju, foreign delegates from Afghanistan Sandip Somani, FICCI President and others attended the grand event.
