Coal India’s Chairman Pramod Agrawal chairs Apex JCC Meeting

Kolkata: The Chairman of Coal India Limited (CIL) Pramod Agrawal chaired a meeting of Apex Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) of CIL at its Headquarters in Kolkata. In the meeting, Coal India's Director (Technical) Binay Dayal, Director (Personnel & Industrial Relations) RP Srivastava and Director (Finance) Sanjiv Soni were present. Dr BK Rai of The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Nathulal Pandey of Hind Mazdoor Sabha, Ramendra Kumar of All India Trade Union Congress, DD Ramanandan of Centre of Indian Trade Unions and CMDs of CIL's subsidiary companies participated in the meeting through video conferencing.

Coal India Limited (CIL) is a state-controlled coal mining and refinery company headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal. CIL is the largest coal-producing company in the world and a Maharatna PSU under the administrative control of Ministry of Coal. The company contributes around 82 percent of the coal production in India. CIL ranks 8th among the top 20 firms behind a third of all global carbon emissions.
