CMPDI organises health talk for employees

CMPDI organised health talks at its headquarters and regional offices to sensitise the employees about the causes of diabetes and cancer

Ranchi: Central Mine Planning & Design Institute (CMPDI), organised a talk by Dr Reddy Foundation for Health Education's Senior Physician Dr AK Verma for the employees of CMPDI's headquarters at Ranchi. Dr Verma sensitised the employees on the causes of diabetes, how to prevent and control it.

Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited Regional Institute – VII, Bhubneshwar (CMPDI, RI-VII) also organised a health talk session on 'General Cancer-Prevention' where Senior Consultant Oncologist Dr Ranjit Kar spoke about different types of cancer, their causes and lifestyle changes to prevent the onset of cancer.

Central Mine Planning & Design Institute (CMPDI) is a fully-owned subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL), engaged in the field of environmental engineering and provides consultancy and engineering services across the globe.

The Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited was established in 1974, under Coal Mines Authority Limited (CMAL) (former name of Coal India Limited), out of the planning division of the now-defunct National Coal Development Corporation (NCDC) as a single-window set up to consolidate all aspects of Indian mining industry under one roof. Subsequent to the nationalisation of coal mining in India, CMPDI was reconstituted as a public sector undertaking in 1975.
