ECL sets up e-waste kiosks under Special Campaign 6

The initiative aims to promote the proper collection, segregation and disposal of electronic waste through authorised channels, encouraging employees to adopt responsible waste management practices

New Delhi: Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) has stepped up its efforts towards responsible e-waste management by organising awareness programmes and setting up dedicated e-waste collection kiosks at its headquarters and various operational areas under Special Campaign 6.

The initiative aims to promote the proper collection, segregation and disposal of electronic waste through authorised channels, encouraging employees to adopt responsible waste management practices.

Awareness camps and e-waste collection boxes have been established at ECL Headquarters and across various Areas as part of the campaign. The initiative is aimed at strengthening awareness about the environmental impact of improper e-waste disposal and promoting sustainable practices at workplaces.

The programme at ECL Headquarters was supported by Director (HR) Gunjan Kumar Sinha, Director (Technical/P&P) Girish Gopinathan Nair, Director (Technical/Operations) Chitranjan Kumar and Nodal Officer for Special Campaign 6 Nazrul Islam, along with Heads of Departments at the headquarters and General Managers of various Areas.

Through the initiative, ECL is seeking to strengthen its focus on cleanliness, environmental responsibility and sustainable waste management practices as part of Special Campaign 6.
