GAIL CMD highlights energy security, nation-building on Independence Day

New Delhi: GAIL Chairman and Managing Director Deepak Gupta hoisted the National Flag at the company’s Corporate Office in New Delhi on the occasion of India’s Independence Day.

The programme was attended by GAIL Directors Ayush Gupta, Sanjay Kumar, Rajeev Kumar Singhal and S.K. Sinha, along with Chief Vigilance Officer Rajnesh Singh, senior officials, employees and their families. Employees also joined in singing Vande Mataram to commemorate 150 years of the national song, followed by the National Anthem.

Addressing the gathering, Gupta highlighted GAIL’s role in India’s nation-building journey and emphasised the importance of energy as a foundation for economic growth and national development.

He said GAIL’s diversified LNG portfolio is strengthening India’s energy resilience amid changing global dynamics and growing geopolitical challenges.

“GAIL is not merely an energy company; it is an important partner in nation-building. Energy is not just a business—it is the foundation of a nation’s progress. Wherever energy reaches, development happens,” Gupta said.
