New Delhi: GAIL Gas Limited has been conferred with the prestigious Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) Excellence Award 2025 for Operational Excellence in City Gas Distribution (CGD) for its Bengaluru Urban and Rural districts Geographical Area.

The award was presented by the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri, at a ceremony held on October 6, in New Delhi. GAIL Gas Limited's CEO Goutom Chakraborty received the award on behalf of the company. On the occasion, PNGRB Chairperson Dr Anil Kumar Jain, Members of PNGRB and other dignitaries from leading oil and gas companies were also present.

As of date, GAIL Gas Limited has achieved significant milestones, including crossing the 1 MMSCMD gas sales mark, operating 146 CNG stations, serving around 2 lakh domestic customers and 500 industrial and commercial consumers, and laying 272 km of steel pipelines along with 1,863 km of MDPE pipelines.

"This recognition is a testament to the relentless efforts of our team and the trust of our customers. Together, we are driving India’s clean energy transition!," the company said in an official statement.

GAIL Gas Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GAIL (India) Limited, has been at the forefront of expanding City Gas Distribution networks across India, ensuring cleaner energy access to households, industries, and transport sectors.
