New Delhi: Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) Ltd celebrated India’s 76th Republic Day with patriotic enthusiasm at its Kolkata headquarters on January 26. The event highlighted the organization's commitment to inclusivity, unity, and growth.

The celebration commenced with GRSE's Chairman and Managing Director Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd) unfurling the National Flag. Joining him in this ceremonial gesture was Quality Inspector (Gr-I) (Chargeman) Tapan Kumar Bhowmik and the senior-most operative of the organisation. This act of solidarity underscored GRSE’s core ethos that "Virasat leads to Vikas" (Legacy leads to Growth), reinforcing the company’s tradition of inclusivity across hierarchies.

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including GRSE Director (Finance) RK Dash; GRSE's Director (Personnel) DIG Subrato Ghosh, ICG (Retd), GRSE's CVO Abhishek Ranjan (IOFS) and CISE's Deputy Commandant Justin Ezung along with senior officials from GRSE. The celebrations featured an impressive parade by CISF personnel, with the CMD receiving the salute. The CISF team captivated the audience with their skillful rifle and pistol drills, which received widespread admiration.

In his address to the gathering, Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd), expressed pride in India’s rapid development, which he referred to as a “Golden India” progressing at an unprecedented pace. Highlighting GRSE’s performance, he said, “Year 2024 has been a very successful year for Team GRSE, and both our physical and financial performance have been the best in the history of the company.”

The CMD also congratulated the CISF team for their exemplary turnout, disciplined display, and the cultural program that added vibrancy to the event.
