HAL bags SCOPE Eminence Award for institutional excellence

HAL has been conferred with SCOPE Eminence Award for Institutional Excellence in the Maharatna/Navratna PSEs category

New Delhi: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has been conferred with the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) Eminence Award for Institutional Excellence in the Maharatna/Navratna PSEs category. HAL's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Dr DK Sunil, and Director (Finance) Barenya Senapati received the coveted award in recognition of the company’s outstanding performance and contributions to the aerospace and defence sectors from the Hon’ble President of India Droupadi Murmu, at a glittering ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on Friday.

Speaking on the receipt of the award, HAL CMD said, “SCOPE Eminence award is an acknowledgement of HAL’s dedicated service to the nation in the field of aerospace and defence”. The capability of HAL in design, manufacture and maintenance of aircraft and helicopters has been given due recognition by the eminent jury, he added. Terming it a proud milestone, CMD HAL further said that this prestigious recognition would motivate us to excel and work towards an Aatmanirbhar Bharat in aerospace and defence. HAL’s achievement for Institutional Excellence was highlighted during the function.

The Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary, Department of Public Enterprises' Secretary K Moses Chalai, SCOPE Chairman and NBCC CMD KP Mahadevaswamy were present on the occasion.

The SCOPE Eminence award acknowledges the exemplary performance of public sector enterprises and individuals contributing significantly to organisational growth and the national economy.
