HSL hosts MSME Conclave to mark 85th foundation day

New Delhi/Visakhapatnam: Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) marked its 85th Foundation Day with the successful organisation of an MSME Conclave on Tuesday. The conclave was aimed at enhancing vendor participation in its upcoming projects and service contracts. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 140 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), highlighting the growing synergy between HSL and its vendor ecosystem.

The conclave focused on boosting MSME involvement by showcasing business opportunities and outlining recent reforms related to the Ease of Doing Business and Speed of Doing Business. The initiative forms part of HSL’s larger strategic vision to encourage inclusive growth and promote transparency in procurement processes.

Addressing the participants, HSL's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Cmde Hemant Khatri reiterated the shipyard’s commitment to mutual growth, continuous engagement, and transparent operations. He also emphasized the importance of welfare measures for contract workmen and ongoing skill development programs.

Vendors were encouraged to uphold high safety standards and adopt sound engineering practices across all work sites.

A Srinu, Assistant Director, MSME Development and Facilitation Office (DFO), Visakhapatnam, also addressed the gathering. He highlighted key Government initiatives aimed at strengthening the MSME sector and urged entrepreneurs to leverage available support systems for growth.

The interactive session provided a platform to address vendor concerns, foster collaborative discussions, and reinforce HSL’s commitment to building long-term, win-win partnerships with MSMEs.
