New Delhi: Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) has once again demonstrated its excellence in the maritime sector by securing two prestigious awards at the Governance Now 11th PSU Awards ceremony held in Delhi on Friday. The awards, which recognise the significant contributions of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) to national development, reaffirm HSL’s commitment to operational excellence and innovation.
HSL's Director (Strategic Projects) Cmde Girideep Singh has been honored with the ‘Operations Leadership’ award for his pivotal role in implementing strategic reforms, innovative engineering solutions, and efficiency-driven approaches. His efforts have significantly enhanced HSL’s operational excellence in ship repair and submarine refit projects, ensuring their completion either on schedule or ahead of time over the past few years.
Additionally, HSL’s commitment to strategic communication and brand visibility was acknowledged with the ‘Communication Outreach’ Award. HSL's Senior Manager (Corporate Planning) and Public Relations Officer Neelima Boni has received the award on behalf of the company. This accolade recognises HSL’s initiatives in enhancing its digital presence, branding, and global outreach, thereby strengthening its business footprint.
The awards were presented under the ‘Other PSU’ category by the Minister of State, Ministry of Coal, Ministry of Mines Satish Chandra Dubey and the Former Minister of State for HRD Satya Pal Singh. The ceremony also honored organisations from the Maharatna, Navratna, Miniratna, and State PSU categories, underscoring the pivotal role of PSUs in driving the nation’s growth.
