HUDCO concludes 58th ITEC training programme on resilient urban planning

HUDCO successfully concluded the 58th ITEC Training Programme on “Leveraging Resilience for Future Proofing our Cities”

New Delhi: The Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO), through its Human Settlement Management Institute (HSMI), successfully concluded the 58th ITEC Training Programme on “Leveraging Resilience for Future Proofing our Cities”. The programme was organised under the aegis of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India.

The valedictory session was addressed by HUDCO Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Sanjay Kulshrestha, in the presence of Director (Corporate Planning) M Nagaraj and Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) Vineet Gupta.

The two-week programme brought together 22 participants from 13 countries, including Ghana, Indonesia, Iraq, Tunisia, Zimbabwe, and Sri Lanka. The participants represented a wide spectrum of urban sector professionals such as architects, planners, engineers, and development experts.

The course curriculum covered key themes such as resilient urban planning, climate change adaptation, disaster preparedness, social and economic resilience, innovative financing mechanisms, and disaster-resilient technologies. In addition to technical lectures, the programme also featured country presentations, action planning exercises, quizzes, and exposure visits to historical and cultural sites.

According to HUDCO, the initiative provided a dynamic platform for knowledge sharing and the exchange of global best practices, aimed at strengthening resilience and building future-ready cities across the developing world.
