New Delhi: The Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd (HUDCO), a Navratna NBFC-IFC under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), organised a two-day celebration at the India Habitat Centre (IHC) as part of the Government of India’s Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, being observed nationwide from August 2 to 15, 2025.
The event was inaugurated by MoHUA's Secretary Srinivas Katikithala (IAS) in the presence of HUDCO's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Sanjay Kulshrestha along with officials from HUDCO, MoHUA and other offices based at IHC.
Addressing the gathering, Katikithala called upon citizens to actively participate in the campaign and hoist the national flag at their homes. “The Tiranga is not just a symbol of our freedom but also of our identity, unity and honour,” he said.
Kulshrestha highlighted the significance of the initiative, calling it “a vibrant reminder of the shared heritage and aspirations that bind the nation together.” He announced that HUDCO plans to distribute over 10,000 national flags through its kiosk at IHC and at various regional offices across India to enable widespread public participation.
The venue was adorned with tricolour decorations, and selfie points inspired by the national flag were set up to encourage citizens to capture their Har Ghar Tiranga moments. Participants, including people of all age groups, posed proudly with the Tiranga, expressing their enthusiasm for a campaign that reinforces the spirit of unity and national pride.
The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, an initiative of the Government of India, aims to encourage citizens to display the national flag at their homes and workplaces, deepening their personal connection with the nation’s emblem.
