Indian Oil organises Corporate Games 2024 at Pune

Indian Oil Corporation successfully organised the second edition of its ‘Corporate Games’ at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune

New Delhi: Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (Indian Oil) has successfully organised the second edition of its ‘Corporate Games’ at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune from July 26 to July 28. Indian Oil's Chairman Shrikant Madhav Vaidya led the inauguration of the event on July 26, in the presence of Indian Oil's Director (HR) Rashmi Govil.

The event featured a range of indoor games, including Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis, Carrom, and Swimming, with 623 employees competing as part of 27 multi-divisional teams from across the country.

In his opening address, Vaidya emphasised the importance of sports in fostering team spirit and unity among employees. “Indian Oil is defined by its people. And sports is a powerful way to engage and unite us, breaking all divisional boundaries, fostering team spirit and networking. With such spirited competition, we're ready to tackle any challenge as new forms of energy emerge in an evolving business scenario. So, break down all barriers and give it your all. Remember, there are 17 medals up for grabs, but countless memories to be made,” he said.

The three-day tournament highlighted Indian Oil’s sustained commitment towards employee engagement and holistic corporate wellness, with participants from various divisions, including Refineries, Pipelines, Marketing, Research & Development (R&D), and Business Development.

The event concluded with the Delhi Dynamites, representing Refineries Headquarters, Corporate Office, and Planning and Business Development, winning the ‘Indian Oil Corporate Games 2024’ Team Championship trophy. The Panipat Royals (Panipat Refinery & Petrochemicals Complex) and Mumbai Marvels (Marketing Head Office) secured the runner-up and third-place titles, respectively.

The grand finale and prize distribution ceremony on July 28, were attended by Indian Oil's Director (Marketing) V Satish Kumar; Director (Pipelines) N Senthil Kumar; Director (HR) Rashmi Govil; and Director (Refineries) Arvind Kumar. During the ceremony, Kumar handed over the baton to N Senthil Kumar, as Indian Oil’s Pipelines Division will host the next edition of the games at Bhubaneswar.
