IREDA CMD receives CSR Lifetime Achievement Award

New Delhi: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Bijay Kumar Mohanty has received the CSR Lifetime Achievement Award at BridgeBharat 2026 for his contribution to corporate social responsibility and inclusive development.

The award has been presented by Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati at a ceremony held in Bhubaneswar. The event was organised by the Odisha Corporate Foundation in collaboration with the Public Enterprise Department, Government of Odisha.

The award recognises Mohanty’s more than 27-year contribution to CSR and inclusive development. His work has included implementation of the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY) and Saubhagya schemes aimed at extending essential services to underserved regions, including the North-East.

His CSR initiatives have also focused on education and skill development, healthcare and rehabilitation, access to safe drinking water, accessibility and support for vulnerable communities.

Expressing gratitude for the recognition, Mohanty said the award reaffirmed his belief that clean energy and inclusive development must go hand in hand. He dedicated the recognition to the shared vision of combining clean energy with inclusive development.

Mohanty also acknowledged the guidance and support extended by the Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, and the IREDA Board of Directors.
