IREDA energizes employee wellness with sports meet

The meet witnessed display of sportsmanship and camaraderie as IREDA employees participated in various sports and games including Badminton, Races, Tug-of-War and Team-Building activities

New Delhi: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) organised a Sports Meet for its employees, at the Airports Authority of India Officers’ Institute Annexe ground in New Delhi February 17. The event commenced with great enthusiasm, aiming to promote physical fitness and a healthier workplace culture.

The meet witnessed display of sportsmanship and camaraderie as IREDA employees participated in various sports and games including Badminton, Races, Tug-of-War and Team-Building activities. The culmination of the Sports Meet was marked by a prize distribution ceremony where CMD, IREDA felicitated the winners.

This initiative by IREDA aligns with the Fit India Movement launched by the Prime Minister in August 2019, which aims to bring about behavioural changes and inspire people to move towards a more physically active lifestyle. The meet underscores the organization's commitment to promoting employee well-being and nurturing a work environment conducive to holistic development. By integrating fitness with joy, IREDA seeks to inspire its employees to lead healthier and happier lives. With initiatives like the Sports Meet, IREDA reaffirms its dedication to fostering a culture of wellness and vitality, not only within the organisation but also in the broader community.

The Sports Meet was inaugurated by IREDA's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Pradip Kumar Das, in the presence of Director (Finance) Dr Bijay Kumar Mohanty; Chief Vigilance Officer Ajay Kumar Sahani and other officials. The CMD emphasized the importance of physical fitness, not just for a healthy lifestyle but also for boosting productivity and overall wellbeing. He commended the participants for their dedication towards fostering a healthier workplace culture.
