New Delhi: In a continued effort to promote environmental sustainability and cleanliness, Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) organised a Tree Plantation Drive and Slogan Writing Competition at SEVA-DHAM Plus, Sarai Kale Khan, New Delhi. The event, held under the banner of the national “Swachhata Hi Seva 2024” campaign, was attended by children from SEVA-DHAM Plus and graced by IREDA’s Chairman and Managing Director Pradip Kumar Das.
In his address, Das underscored the vital connection between environmental conservation and a sustainable future. “IREDA is committed to promoting sustainable development and contributing to a cleaner and greener India. We believe that our youth are the future of our nation, and their involvement in environmental conservation is essential for a healthier and more prosperous tomorrow,” he stated.
The event featured the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” tree plantation drive, where school children, alongside Shri Pradip Kumar Das and IREDA officials, planted saplings as a symbolic gesture of environmental protection. Additionally, an awareness session was conducted to educate students on the importance of renewable energy. As part of the initiative, participants also took the Swachhata Pledge to uphold cleanliness in their surroundings.
To further engage young minds, IREDA organised a slogan writing competition centered on the theme “Swachhata Hi Seva 2024.” The competition encouraged creativity, with winners being recognized for their impactful contributions. Sadhvi Samta Shri Ji, Director of SEVA-DHAM Plus, expressed her gratitude to IREDA for their community-focused efforts and for fostering a sense of responsibility towards environmental stewardship.
