MCL CMD inaugurates AMRIT at company's headquarters

The initiative aims to reduce out-of-pocket healthcare expenses by providing essential medicines, life-saving drugs, implants, and surgical items at highly affordable prices

New Delhi: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) taking a significant step towards strengthening healthcare accessibility inaugurated AMRIT (Affordable Medicines and Reliable Implants for Treatment) Pharmacy at company headquarters in Anand Vihar colony, Burla.

MCL CMD Uday Anant Kaole inaugurated the AMRIT pharmacy in the presence of MCL Director (HR) Keshav Rao; Director (Finance) A.K. Behura; Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) PK Patel; Director (Technical) SK Jha along with senior officials and members of the medical team.

The AMRIT Pharmacy is a flagship initiative of the Government of India, launched in 2015 under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and implemented by HLL Lifecare Limited. The initiative aims to reduce out-of-pocket healthcare expenses by providing essential medicines, life-saving drugs, implants, and surgical items at highly affordable prices, often at discounts ranging from 50 percent to 90 percent of market rates.

The establishment of the AMRIT Pharmacy at MCL reinforces the company’s commitment to accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare for employees, their families, and the local community.
