The company was awarded Special Recognition under Special Campaign 5.0 for its efforts in promoting cleanliness, improving public awareness, and ensuring efficient disposal of pending matters across its operational areas. As part of the campaign, MCL undertook workplace cleanliness drives, outreach initiatives, digital record management and public engagement activities aimed at strengthening transparency and service delivery.

In addition, MCL secured the 3rd Prize for Swachhata Pakhwada, acknowledging the PSU’s impactful initiatives such as mass plantation drives, sanitation activities, school awareness programmes and extensive community mobilisation during the fortnight-long cleanliness campaign held earlier this year.

The awards were presented at the review meeting held in New Delhi in the presence of Union Minister of Coal & Mines G Kishan Reddy and Minister of State for Coal & Mines Satish Chandra Dubey.

MCL Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Uday Anant Kaole received the accolades on behalf of the company, accompanied by senior officials.

The recognitions underscore MCL’s continued efforts toward responsible governance, sustainable mining operations and environmental stewardship across its command areas.
