MCL wins top prize for safety excellence

Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) emerged winner among 187 company participated for the award, which will be presented at a ceremony to be held in Delhi on May 29

New Delhi: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has won the first prize for Excellence in Safety at '21st Annual Greentech Safety Award 2023'.

MCL emerged winner among 187 company participated for the award, which will be presented at a ceremony to be held in Delhi on May 29.

Congratulating all the employees on company being selected for the coveted award.

MCL's Chairman-cum-Managing Director OP Singh emphasised on the need for continued efforts by everyone to ensure safety of man and machines at work.

“Safety is a small investment for a great future,” the CMD said.

MCL is the highest coal producing and supply company in the country, with all its mining operations spread out in Angul, Jharsuguda and Sundergarh districts of Odisha.
