Hyderabad: Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI), a Miniratna PSU under the administrative control of the Ministry of Defence, observed the Vigilance Awareness Week 2019 from October 28 to November 2.
The theme for observation of the week was 'Integrity – A Way of Life' as per the instructions of Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). The Vigilance Awareness Week is observed every year at this time to celebrate the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who is known to be a man of high Integrity.
During the week-long 'MIDHANI vigilance week' programme various competitions, on the current year's theme were organised to create awareness. A number of school and college students along with employees of the company participated in these competitions. The celebrations concluded on November 2.
The CVC suggested establishing "Integrity Clubs" in the schools and colleges as part of Vigilance Awareness Week so as to ingrain ethical values in the young minds as the future belongs to them.
MIDHANI's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), Directors and CVO interacted with the school children and advised the children to adopt the good habits and inculcate highest values, integrity and ethics for a successful future. The CMD has also advised the children to start collecting stamps and coins and nurture their hobby.
