NBCC gets “Global Safety Award 2020”

New Delhi: State-run NBCC (India) Limited, a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), has been conferred the prestigious "Global Safety Award 2020" by Energy and Environment Foundation at its global excellence awards event held on February 17, in New Delhi.

The award has been given for outstanding contribution towards practising excellent workplace culture in Health & Safety by evolving safe work practices at the Central Information Commission (CIC) Office Building, New Delhi, constructed by NBCC

The "Global Safety Award 2020" has been given to NBCC (India) Limited for its outstanding contribution towards practising excellent workplace culture in Health & Safety by evolving safe work practices at the Central Information Commission (CIC) Office Building, New Delhi, which is constructed by NBCC. Justice (Retd) Swatanter Kumar gave away the award and NBCC Limited's Director (Projects) Neelesh Shah received the award on behalf of the company. Other former judges and bureaucrats were also present on the occasion.

NBCC (India) Limited, formerly National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited, is a blue-chip Navratna enterprise and a PSU which trades publicly in the market.

NBCC acquired 100 per cent stake in Miniratna hospital consultancy firm Hospital Services Consultancy Corporation Limited (HSCC) from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on November 6, 2018. The organisation acquired over 51 percent stake in Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited (HSCL), a PSU under the Steel Ministry in 2017.
