Singrauli: Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) kick starts 'national productivity week' on the occasion of 'National Productivity Day' on Wednesday. NCL is observing national productivity week from February 12 to 18, aimed to create awareness about productivity, so that maximum output with optimum utilization of resources can be planned and achieved.

In an inaugural ceremony at the company's headquarters in Singrauli, General Manager of Industrial Engineering Department Anurag Kumar unfurled the flag and administered the productivity pledge to the employees.

On this occasion of national productivity day, the employees of the company took a pledge to ensure the growth of production and productivity with safety at the workplace. They also pledged to encourage their coworkers for the growth of the company, the living standard of the society and the prosperity of the nation.

NCL's Industrial Engineering Department (IED) team is actively carrying out various programs related to productivity week in all the coal areas and units of the company for enhancement of productivity.
