Faridabad: NHPC Limited, India's premier hydropower company has been conferred with "Recognition of WIPS Activities Award, a tribute to excellence in public enterprise management under Miniratna and other category" by Forum of Women in Public Sector (WIPS). The award has been given to NHPC in recognition of its commendable work done for the development of women in NHPC. The award has been received by NHPC Limited's Director (Personnel) NK Jain along with other senior women officers and employees of NHPC during the 30th National Meet of WIPs at Hyderabad on February 11. Jain also took part in a panel discussion on "power of decision making and commitments" during the event.

During the above-mentioned national meet, NHPC Limited's Executive Director (IT&C) Savitri Srivastav was conferred with the 'Best Women Employee Award' in the executive category'. Savitri Srivastav was given the award in recognition of her distinct and extraordinary accomplishments for development of new technologies, education and outreach and other leadership and support activities consistent with WIPS's mission. The award was given by Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, the Governor of Telangana.
