New Delhi: NHPC Limited’s Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) RK Chaudhary shared his vision for the company’s future during a special cultural programme held at NHPC’s Corporate Office in Faridabad on Tuesday. The event, which marked the beginning of 2025, was attended by NHPC’s Director (Finance) RP Goyal, Director (Personnel) Uttam Lal, Director (Projects) Sanjay Kumar Singh, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) Santosh Kumar, and other senior officers and employees.
In his address, Chaudhary emphasised the critical role of collective effort, skill enhancement, and timely execution of projects in driving NHPC’s growth in the coming year. He extended warm New Year greetings to all NHPC employees and acknowledged their dedication and contributions. Chaudhary noted that the New Year serves as both a moment to reflect on past successes and an opportunity to set ambitious goals.
He outlined NHPC’s strategic priorities for 2025, which include the commissioning of several key projects: the 2000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project (Assam/Arunachal Pradesh), the 800 MW Parbati-II Hydroelectric Project (Himachal Pradesh), the 120 MW Rangit-IV Hydroelectric Project (Sikkim), and a 300 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan. The CMD called on NHPC teams at all locations to prioritize timely completion of their tasks while maintaining the highest quality standards to ensure reliable power generation throughout the year.
The programme also featured a cultural highlight, a mesmerizing Nritya Natika titled ‘Shri Ram’ performed by artistes from the Shri Ram Bharatiya Kala Kendra, New Delhi. The captivating performance received widespread acclaim from the audience, which included NHPC employees from across locations who joined the event via webcast.
Chaudhary concluded his address by wishing employees and their families a happy and prosperous New Year filled with success and new opportunities. The event underscored NHPC’s commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive work culture while driving its mission of delivering sustainable and reliable energy solutions.
