New Delhi: NHPC Limited’s Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) RK Vishnoi has been conferred D. Litt. (Honoris Causa) by Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth on Saturday for his exemplary performance in power sector and his outstanding contribution to the development of the country.

The Chancellor of Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth University and Great-Grandson of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak Dr Deepak Jayant Tilak conferred the D. Litt. (Honoris Causa) to Vishnoi. Vidyapeeth University is a historical University located in Pune established in 1921 by Mahatma Gandhi.

Vishnoi is the President of Indian Committee of International Commission of Large Dams (INCOLD) and is also representing India in INCOLD for the Technical Committee on Seismic Safety of Dams. He is also a member of the World Bank Expert Group.
