NHPC inaugurates its State-of-Art data centre

Faridabad/New Delhi: NHPC Limited, India's premier hydropower company and a 'Mini Ratna' Category-I Enterprise of the government, has commissioned its State-of-Art Data Centre at its Corporate Office at Faridabad on January 21, 2020. NHPC Limited's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Ratish Kumar inaugurated the new Data centre in the presence of NHPC Limited's Director (Personnel) NK Jain, NHPC Limited's Director (Finance) MK Mittal, NHPC Limited's Director (Technical) Janardan Choudhary, NHPC Limited's Chief General Manager (IT&C) Savitri Srivastav and other senior executives. The centre is designed to meet the modern-day high-volume computing needs of NHPC's enterprise-wide data of ERP, e-Office, legacy systems and email.

The Data Centre has a built-up facility of 1,200 square feet with 40 KVA (with 100 percent redundancy) of Load Capacity and 100 percent scalable to meet the growing demand of NHPC Limited and its Joint Ventures (JVs). It is an intelligent Data Centre Solution comprising of integrated racks with in-row cooling, distributed UPS power, Access Control, Fire detection & suppression, rodent repellent, CCCTV and remote monitoring features.
