Vigilance week: NLCIL holds mini-marathon for schoolkids

As part of vigilance awareness programme, NLCIL organised mini-marathon and formed a human chain to spread the message of integrity

Neyveli: As part of Vigilance Awareness Week-2019 celebrations, NLCIL India Limited organised a mini-marathon rally and a human chain involving Neyveli school children to spread the message on the importance of "integrity" at Neyveli on Tuesday.

NLCIL India Limited's Chief Vigilance Officer (IRSME) T Venkatasubramanian flagged of the mini-marathon. On the occasion, State Bank of India's (Neyveli Branch) Chief Manager Rita Simon was present and she also co-hosted the programme.

In his speech Venkatasubramanian motivated the students and employees to internalise the value of "integrity" and practice the same in life.

In NLCIL mini-marathon, about 600 students from 9 schools participated and ran enthusiastically carrying placards with slogans based on the theme "Integrity a way of Life." At the end of the marathon, they formed a human chain. Senior officials, executives' employees and the general public also participated.

Before the commencement of the marathon senior executives, employees and students took the integrity pledge and signed on the "Integrity wall." After the conclusion of the marathon near the Golden Jubilee Park, students also signed on the "Integrity Wall."
