NMDC signs an MoU with Andhra Pradesh

NMDC Limited has signed an MoU with the state government of Andhra Pradesh for for the supply of Iron Ore for the proposed Integrated Steel Plant

Hyderabad: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between NMDC Limited and the state government of Andhra Pradesh at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, for the supply of Iron Ore for the proposed Integrated Steel Plant in YSR Kadapa District, Andhra Pradesh.

This MoU is entered between NMDC Limited represented by Director (Commercial) Alok Kumar Mehta and the government of Andhra Pradesh, represented by AP High-Grade Steels Limited's  CMD P Madhusudan.

Government of Andhra Pradesh is establishing an Integrated Steel Plant in the YSR Kadapa District and NMDC has agreed to provide iron ore linkage for the supply of 5 Million Tons of Iron ore per annum in the First Phase to the proposed Integrated Steel Plant from its mines.

Gracing the occasion, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy welcomed NMDC and congratulated NMDC for its committed supply of iron ore to the steel plant.

Alok Kumar Mehta, Director (Commercial) said NMDC will strive to meet the increased demand of iron ore for the steelmakers and provide the best quality raw material for the High-Grade Steel Plant in Andhra Pradesh.
