NMDC supports cultural heritage of India

NMDC has provided an assistance of Rs 7.5 crore for "National Tribal Dance Festival 2019," being organised by the state government of Chhattisgarh

Hyderabad: India's largest Iron Ore producer NMDC Limited is proud to be associated with "National Tribal Dance Festival 2019" organised by the state government of Chhattisgarh from December 27 to 29 at Raipur.

NMDC is best known for its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities which are mainly focussed in the areas of Education, Health & Hygiene, Drinking Water, Infrastructure Development, Skill Development and since inception NMDC is always encouraging Tribal Art & Culture of Chhattisgarh and imparting training to local young people in Tribal arts such as Bell metal, Bamboo and Tumba art etc.

As a goodwill gesture and to promote cultural and tribal heritage, NMDC is associated as a Corporate Platinum Partner by providing assistance of Rs 7.5 Crore for this prestigious dance festival. NMDC's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) N Baijendra Kumar handed over the demand draft to Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel in presence of functional Directors of NMDC Limited.

The performing arts of the tribals from all the States and Union Territories (UTs) where tribal groups inhabit and from some of our neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal etc. shall be showcased in the festival. Over 2,500 participants shall be participating during the event.
