Business Unit Head Arnab Maitra hoisted the national flag, followed by a parade inspection by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and DGR Security Services. In his address, Maitra lauded the station’s robust performance in Operations and Maintenance, citing high plant availability, a healthy plant load factor (PLF), uninterrupted coal supplies, record annual ash utilisation, and the longest continuous operation of Unit-2 since inception — 319 days. He urged employees and partners to continue embracing best practices, innovation, and strengthened CSR, environmental, medical, and safety initiatives.

The celebration featured vibrant cultural performances by students from Ankur Tiny Tots, Bal Bhawan, and Notre Dame Academy, showcasing patriotic songs, traditional dances, and skits representing India’s unity in diversity. The event also saw the release of tri-colour balloons by Maitra, senior officials, and members of the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, symbolising freedom and hope.

During the ceremony, 45 employees received the HOP Meritorious Award, 7 were honoured with Health Champion Awards for 2024–25, and 10 were recognised under the Aawahan Policy for achievements in cycling and walking competitions.

The celebrations were attended by Kasturi Maitra, President of the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, senior NTPC officials, CISF Commandant LN Meitei, Head of HR Amit K Asthana, departmental heads, union representatives, welfare bodies, employees, and their families.

Earlier in the day, flag hoisting ceremonies were also held at the service building, the ladies club, Ankur Tiny Tots school, and Notre Dame Academy.
